The league runs 6 C3 leagues and 1 C1 league simultaneously, each with its own separate ELO ranking. You can join up to 3 at once — your progress in each is tracked independently.

  • โš”You may join up to 3 leagues per season. Once joined, you must wait 7 days before leaving.

Each year is divided into four quarterly seasons โ€” Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. A new season starts automatically when the previous one ends.

  • 1To qualify for the end-of-season standings and medals, a player must: complete at least 10 matches in that league, be active (not on vacation or inactive) when the season closes, and still be in the league (players who left are excluded).
  • 2The top 3 qualified players in each league receive ๐Ÿฅ‡๐Ÿฅˆ๐Ÿฅ‰ medals permanently displayed on their profile.
  • 3ELO is never reset between seasons. Your rating carries over, reflecting long-term skill.
  • 4The Season ยฑ column on the leaderboard shows your ELO change since the start of the current season.

To play a match, one player sends a challenge to another. The opponent then accepts or declines. Once accepted, the match is live and must be played.

  • 1You may have a maximum of 2 active outgoing challenges per league at any time.
  • 2You may have a maximum of 2 active incoming challenges at any time.
  • 3You may only challenge the same opponent twice per 7 days.
  • 4Only players in a shared league may challenge each other.
  • 5Declining 2 challenges within 7 days triggers an automatic penalty: Inactive status + −5 ELO in the league the match was in. A warning is shown after the first decline.
  • 6Who hosts? The challenger (attacker) hosts the game by default. If they cannot host, the defender hosts. If neither can host — both players may ask a neutral player or admin for assistance.
โš  An accepted challenge that is not played within 7 days will be automatically cancelled by the system.
โฑ A pending challenge with no response expires automatically after 48 hours.
  • 1All matches are Best of 1 (BO1) โ€” a single game determines the winner.
  • 2After playing, the winning player submits the result. The opponent must confirm or dispute it.
  • 3ELO is updated only after the result is mutually confirmed.
  • 4Uploading a replay file is strongly encouraged and earns the Replay Hero badge after 10 replays.
  • 5If a result is disputed, it is referred to an admin for resolution.

All matches must be played with the following settings. Leagues differ in starting resources, minerals, Peace Time and additional restrictions. 5000 15pt โ€” like 5000 0pt but with 15 min peace time. 1000 0pt no market โ€” disables Market. 1000 0pt no admc โ€” disables Market, Diplomatic Center, Capture and Artillery.

When a challenge is accepted, the system automatically draws a random nation for the match. Both players play the same nation โ€” there is no choice or veto. The draw is final.

Each league uses the standard Elo rating system. Your starting ELO is based on your self-reported skill level at registration. ELO is calculated separately per league.

ELO changes after each confirmed match based on expected outcome: beating a stronger opponent gains more; losing to a weaker one loses more.
Your global ELO shown on the leaderboard is the average of your ELO across all leagues you are enrolled in.

If a player fails to show up for an agreed match, the other player may report the issue. An admin can then award a walkover.

  • 1The winner of a walkover receives +10 ELO in the relevant league.
  • 2The loser (no-show) receives โˆ’20 ELO, with the 500 floor applied.
  • 3Repeated no-shows may result in a temporary or permanent ban.

To keep the leaderboard fair and competitive, players have a status system that affects their ability to send and receive challenges.

  • 1After 30 days without a completed match, your account is automatically set to Inactive. You cannot send or receive challenges until you manually return to Active status from your profile.
  • 2Vacation mode can be activated once per season for 7โ€“14 days. During vacation, you cannot send or receive challenges. Any pending challenges sent to you are automatically extended by the vacation duration.
  • 3Playing any completed match automatically returns you to Active status.
  • 4Players who remain without a completed match for 60+ days receive an automatic โˆ’10 ELO per week penalty applied to their league ELO only. New players are protected for the first 60 days.
  • โš–Honest reporting: Submit only accurate results. Submitting a false result is grounds for an immediate ban.
  • โš–Sportsmanship: Treat all opponents with respect. Harassment will not be tolerated.
  • โš–Disputes: Use the in-game report system. Do not harass opponents over results.
  • โš–Cheating: Any use of hacks, exploits, or third-party tools results in a permanent ban.
  • โš–Admin decisions are final. You may appeal via the report system, but admin rulings close disputes.
Players can report any match using the โš‘ Report a problem button on the match page. All reports are reviewed by admins.

Clans are ranked by Clan ELO โ€” the average ELO of the top 3 members. A clan needs at least 3 active, unbanned players to appear in the ranking. Rankings update in real time after every match.

Joining and managing clans
  • 1Any player can create a clan โ€” choose a unique tag (3-5 chars) and name.
  • 2The creator becomes the clan leader โ€” manages members, approves transfers and sends Battle of Duels challenges.
  • 3Players can apply to any clan. The leader approves or rejects applications.

Battle of Duels is a clan competition. Each match is a Best-of-3 series played 2v2. Any two players from the clan can represent it โ€” no fixed roster required.

Players can apply to join a different clan at any point during the season, even if already in one. The application must be approved by the target clan leader.

  • 4Transfer is blocked while your current clan has an active Battle of Duels match.
  • 5After a transfer, individual ELO and match history remain unchanged.

The Lobby is the social hub of WCL โ€” used for arranging matches, chatting and checking who is online. The same conduct rules apply as the rest of the site.

  • ๐Ÿ’ฌMatch arrangements made in Lobby chat are not binding โ€” use the Challenge system on the site to officially schedule matches.
  • ๐Ÿ’ฌModerators can mute or ban users from chat for rule violations.
  • ๐Ÿ’ฌLFG (Looking for Game): clicking "I am available" puts you on the waiting list for 30 minutes. Anyone can challenge you directly from there.
